Jesse Watters has already long established himself as a valued and entertaining presence on Fox News. As Bill O’Reilly’s protege, he has been practicing his craft through the “Watters World: segment that airs once or twice a month on The O’Reilly Report.
There has been a great deal of shake-up at Fox News recently, and with the departures of Megyn Kelly and Greta Van Susteren, Bill O’Reilly and executives at Fox News clearly thought it was time for Jesse Watters to finally step into the limelight after more than a decade of service.
According to an announcement, Watters’ famous segment will be turned into a full-fledged show on Fox News called Watters World, and it will air every Saturday at 8 PM EST. Watters plans to continue doing his trademark man-on-the-street interviews during the show.
Stated Watters of his new program, “I am humbled that Fox News Channel hssadas given me this opportunity. I look forward to viewers entering my world more often and wouldn’t be in this position if it weren’t for Bill O’Reilly.” He also jokingly said of Bill, “I think he’s either living vicariously through me, or he’s reliving things he did back in the day.”
Watters explained his in-your-face interview style, saying, “When the cause is just and there’s been injustice, then it’s easy to kind of galvanize your emotions and confront a guy. And it’s intense and there’s a lot of adrenaline involved, but those usually make a big splash.” Are you excited for Jesse’s new full-length show?
