Barack Hussein Obama sat down with ABC’s George Stephanoupolos on Sunday for his final one-on-one interview as president. Instead of taking the high road, Obama shamelessly decided to use the interview to slam President-Elect Donald Trump.
Daily Mail reported that though Obama acknowledged that Trump is “engaging and gregarious,” he added that the two of them are “sort of opposites.” Obama started off with the positives about Trump, claiming that he has enjoyed his conversations with the incoming president.
“He is somebody who I think is not lacking in confidence,” Obama said.
When Stephanopoulos said that many would describe Obama that way, the president said, “It’s probably a prerequisite for the job, or at least you have to have enough craziness to think that you can do the job.”
However, it was then that Obama turned on Trump, saying that the president-elect “has not spent a lot of time sweating the details,” while “I’m on he policy wonk end of the spectrum.”
Obama said that this lack of attention to detail could be both a “strength and a weakness.”
“If it gives him fresh eyes, then that can be valuable,” Obama pointed out. “But it also requires you knowing what you don’t know and putting in place people who do have the kinds of experience and background and knowledge that can inform good decision making.”
Obama later discussed the “cordial” conversations he’s had with Trump.
“The main thing that I’ve tried to transmit is that there’s a difference between governing and campaigning, so that what he has to appreciate is as soon as you walk into this office after you’ve been sworn in, you’re now in charge of the largest organization on Earth,” Obama said.
Frankly, we find it disgusting that Obama is still so condescending towards and dismissive of the incoming president. SHARE this story if you can’t WAIT for Obama to be OUT of the White House!
