President Trump has been in office for just a few weeks now and he has already helped our military branches draft plans of expansion and improvement, something which has long been forgotten around our military forces.
According to reports from Fox News, from the Army to the Air Force, the American military service branches are busy preparing ambitious proposals on expansion, as President Donald Trump renewed his pledge to rebuild a fighting force that has long become “depleted”.
“Our country will never have had a military like the military we’re about to build and rebuild,” Trump said at last week’s press conference. “It won’t be depleted for long.”
Ever since he started his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has made rebuilding the military a centerpiece of his campaign, and has sent a fresh signal of his intentions by choosing Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster for National Security Adviser. If Trump’s concern wasn’t enough, McMaster has been sounding the alarm of declining state of the U.S. Army for a few months now and he is an expert that knows what is going on.
“We are outranged and outgunned by many potential adversaries … [and] our army in the future risks being too small to secure the nation,” told McMaster to a Senate Armed Services subcommittee last April. President Trump’s decision to put in charge McMaster is only a proof that he considers boosting the Armed Forces to be one of his top priorities.
